The Lion and the Rose Bed and Breakfast in Asheville, North Carolina is located only 8 minutes North of Biltmore Estate in the Montford Historic District.

From Atlanta:

Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours.
I-85 North to I-26 West to I-240 East to Asheville. Take Exit 4C.  The exit ramp ends at Haywood Street.  Turn right onto Haywood and proceed to the next traffic light which is Montford.  Turn right onto Montford.

From Charlotte:

Approximately 2 hours.
I-77 to I-40 West to I-240 West to Asheville. Take Exit 4C.  The exit ramp ends at Montford Avenue.  Turn right onto Montford.

From Tennessee:

Approximately 1 hour from the North Carolina Welcome Center. I-40 East to I-240 East to Asheville. Take Exit 4C.  The exit ramp ends at Haywood Street.  Turn right onto Haywood and proceed to the next traffic light which is Montford.  Turn right onto Montford.

Locally:

The inn is ideally located approximately ¾ of a mile from I-240, Exit 4C (also called the Haywood St. & Montford Ave. Exit).  This is one of the Downtown Asheville Exits. Once on Montford Avenue, proceed for about three blocks. Look to your left for a stately peach, white, and green historic house with park like grounds surrounded by a white picket fence. Turn left onto Waneta Street to access the off-street parking that is adjacent to the inn.
